It’s time for you to take charge of your career and join the sharing economy on your terms. Our third installment of the M.O.O.N report (Mobile Optimized On-demand Network) provides a snap shot of that spirit and how people want to be their own boss in the new sharing economy.
In less than 100 days, Moonlighting has spread nationwide to 1,300 cities with a very simple message; “Make Money Now”. By using mobile technology to promote, share and transact, thousands of workers are advancing their careers and fulfilling life long dreams to work for themselves.
Many have asked me why are we growing so fast? My answer is simple. People want to work on things they love and with people they trust. These are the two cornerstones on how Moonlighting was born.
Thousands of jobs are being posted each week on our platform that showcase the skill sets of the American Moonlighter. Each job is unique and very personal to the person offering it. They don’t want to flip burgers or succumb to rigid work schedules that compromise their work/life balance. And contrary to all the reports about Uber, many don’t really want to drive for a living, but they have a car and the need to make money.
Which leads me to Uber. When I look at Uber, and all the mania associated with its success, I tip my hat to its simplicity and brilliance. But I also believe that hidden in all the fanfare, Uber has missed the mark on enabling their workers to express themselves.

“Why can’t you be the Uber of you?”
