The company that started locally has had success that has not gone unnoticed. Moonlighting has partnerships ranging from the Miami Herald to the LA Times.
CEO and Founder Jeff Tennery boasted about the company’s growing numbers.
“We have expanded to over 325,000 people nationwide that are now moonlighting and a lot started right here in Charlottesville,” he said.
In 2016 alone, more than 2,000 jobs were completed in Charlottesville and more than 30,000 nationwide.
“It all starts right here in Charlottesville. We will be adding jobs right here in Charlottesville as well as all around the Commonwealth and really adding to community, to employment,” said Tennery. “Our number one job is home and handymen and landscapers. Anything that has to do with the home. And then on the other end of the spectrum, we have a ton web and tech jobs.”
Tennery said the goal of this year is more within the local office.
“We are doubling in size and adding another 25 jobs here in Charlottesville,” he said.
Moonlighting has been actively recruiting and is searching for people to fill positions in all areas.
“We are a digital and mobile technology company, so we need the best a brightest of those folks who really understand digital technology,” said Tennery.
